The latest installment of the Le Classique saw Paris Saint-Germain and Olympique de Marseille play to a 0-0 draw at the Stade Vélodrome. Both teams had goals waived off by Video Assistant Referee, and neither side could finish any scoring chances.

After the match, Marseille manager Jorge Sampaoli spoke to the media at his press conference, where he provided the analysis to the draw. The Argentine tactician said about the opportunities his squad had to win the game, but in the end, their chances didn’t find the back of the net against PSG.

“There were different moments in the match. In the first half, after good first minutes, the team then relaxed the game and the possibilities to win against a team as strong as Paris. In the second half, with the expulsion, we had opportunities to win, but unfortunately, we could not achieve these situations,” Sampaoli said.

“But hey, these are games against very high-level opponents, which makes everything more difficult. I think this game is, for us, a consolidation of an idea that we have been trying to assimilate to the players for some time now. This idea is growing. And to have done it today against Paris, it’s a very good thing. I hope that we will follow this path.”
