Throughout the entire summer, Harry Kane saw his name connected to a possible move to Manchester City, but a move to the Premier League rival never materialized.

Now the 28-year-old remains with his boyhood club, and Managing Director of Football Fabio Paratici spoke in an interview with The Sun, and the Tottenham Hotspur is ready to be part of the rebuild, says the club chief.

“Harry Kane loves Tottenham,” Paratici said. “We’ve decided to keep Harry last summer to start the rebuilding, and we’re happy with our choice. There’s no need of any new talk with Harry. He knows how to share the sense of belonging to Spurs.”

Meanwhile, Paratici had to answer a question regarding their pursuit of a striker as they either wanted to replace Kane, should he have left, or bring one in to compliment him. One of their reported targets was Dušan Vlahović as the club chief spoke briefly on the player.

“Dusan Vlahovic is appreciated by many clubs; it’s normal – he’s not in our plans, for now,” Paratici said. “I’m not going to speak about Dusan Vlahovic as he’s under contract with Fiorentina… and also because we’ve Harry Kane, who’s the best striker in the world.”

It will be interesting to see whether Kane wants to remain a part of this rebuild for the long run or eventually pushes again for a transfer out of north London to win trophies as he enters the latter part of his prime years.
