The Wisconsin Badgers football program is still in the mix for a priority receiver target in the 2025 class.
On Sunday afternoon, three-star wide receiver Eugene Hilton Jr., the son of former NFL Pro Bowler T.Y. Hilton, announced his revised list of schools that included the Badgers.
UW made the cut alongside Georgia, Miami, Ole Miss, Purdue, Missouri, and Kansas.
According to the composite rankings, Hilton is the No. 432 player in the nation, the No. 60 WR, and the No. 7 player in Indiana.
Wisconsin Football Still Fighting For Eugene Hilton Jr
Hilton has been at the top of Wisconsin’s 2025 receiver big board for some time now.
The three-star receiver has already made a stop in Madison, taking in Wisconsin’s primetime matchup against Ohio State in September. He also has an official visit with UW penciled in for the first weekend in June.
According to MaxPreps, Hilton hauled in 46 receptions for 836 yards and ten touchdowns during his junior campaign at Zionsville High School. He also served as the primary kick returner, logging 201 return yards.
Badgers coaches Matt Mitchell and Kenny Guiton have acted as the lead recruiters for Hilton up to this point. Guiton has a track record of success in recruiting wide receivers, earning four 4-star commits during his time at Arkansas.
It’s worth noting Missouri was considered the favorite for Hilton, but recent Crystal Ball predictions have Georgia as the current team to beat.
The Badgers will have an opportunity to move the needle in their favor in early June, but they’ll have some stiff competition.
The Wisconsin football program has yet to add a wide receiver commit in the 2025 recruiting cycle, but they’re involved with prospects including Cameron Miller, Quannell X Farrakhan Jr, and Kamren Flowers, among others.
