Homelander is getting a lot of action right now.
Not only can you watch Homelander fight Liu Kang in Mortal Kombat, as The Boys’ supervillain enters the iconic game series as a playable character, but you can now picture what would happen if he took on Superman.
"There's no Kryptonite factor, and Homie would fight so dirty,” Homelander actor Antony Starr told Screenrant when asked who’d win in a battle between the two.
“He's the [type to go], 'Oh, you got me!' as he goes down and then comes up and throws sand in your eyes... Whereas Superman is always like, 'Oh, I wouldn't do that ... there's innocent children that might get hurt.' Homie's going to human shield himself with the kids"
Starr’s words are in response to his The Boys co-star Jack Quaid, who was asked if Superman could take down Homelander. Quaid, who voices Superman in animated series My Adventures with Superman season 2, said it’s a surefire win for the Man of Steel. Although, to be honest, both he and Starr are a little biased.
“He has to, right?” Quaid told the outlet last week. “Like if he doesn't, we're all in trouble. I think my particular version of Superman has a lot of growing to do, and he still needs to discover some more of the powers that we all know are in there but give him a few seasons, and he can take Homelander, for sure.”
Watch both Quaid and Starr in The Boys season 4 when it releases on Prime Video June 13, 2024.
