Connor Stallions Believes Penn State Guilty of Sign Stealing

Former Michigan staffer Connor Stalions believes Penn State steals signs, too.

The guy who became one of the most infamous figures in college football history because of his alleged sign-stealing efforts was on Barstool’s “Bussin With The Boys” podcast, and was asked which Big Ten schools also partake in sign stealing.

“I’m not there,” he said, “so I don’t want to say exactly ‘this is what this team’s doing, this is what that team’s doing. But there’s a lot of Big Ten teams who are, you know, at that level. It’s Ohio State, Rutgers, I believe Penn State, Indiana’s really good. Those are probably the top four in the Big Ten who are all on the same level.”

Stalions, an ex-captain in the marines, is the alleged ringleader of the Michigan sign-stealing scandal that’s still being investigated by the NCAA. News of the NCAA’s investigation broke Oct. 19, and Stalions was revealed as a person of interest.

He had been suspended with pay by Michigan for exactly two weeks before he resigned eight days prior to Michigan’s win at Penn State.

Among Stalions’s alleged offenseswas buying tickets for people to illegally film games from teams both in and outside the Big Ten. These include Penn State games. Sources told ESPN days after Penn State played at Ohio State Oct. 21 that Satlions bought tickets on both sides of Ohio Stadium. Later in the week, a source went on the record with ESPN and said that Stalions paid him to scout Penn State’s 63-0 win over UMass Oct. 14, and left at halftime due to the weather.

In total, Connor Stalions had been implicated in 30 tickets being purchased for games at 11 of the other 13 Big Ten schools.

Stalions has been a volunteer DC at Mumford since around Memorial Day, per CBS. He’s also the subject of a Netflix documentary called “Sign Stealer,” which premiered late last month.

Penn State coach James Franklin is scheduled to meet with reporters Wednesday evening. We’ll see if he’s asked.
