LSU Gymnastics is reloading their roster following the conclusion of eligibility for ten senior and graduate student-athletes.
The latest gymnast to join the squad is Emily Innes. Barring any NCAA changes, she will have one year to compete for the Tigers.
Emily said on Instagram, “I have made the difficult decision to enter the transfer portal for my senior year. I want to thank UW for the past three years. To all of the coaching staffs, support staffs, and teammates that I have had throughout my experience, you made my time here memorable and I will cherish that forever.
That said, I have decided to commit to LSU on a full athletic scholarship!!! I am incredibly blessed to have this opportunity and can't wait to see what the next year brings! Geaux Tigers”
Emily was named second team All-Big Ten as a member of the Washington Huskies squad. She last competed individually in the NCAA Regionals on floor exercise.
Many LSU Tigers rushed to Instagram and commented on her post including Livvy Dunne, Kailin Chio, Tori Tatum, Alexis Jeffrey, and Sierra Ballard. Madison Ulrich, formerly of University of Denver, who is considering LSU after entering the transfer portal also liked the post.
Kailin Chio commented, “Welcome to the Tiger family!”
