An old video from 2023 showing just what a class act Danny Stutsman is resurfaced on X after the Oklahoma Sooners linebacker was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the fourth round of the NFL Draft.
The video was shared on X in December 2023 by Dan Lindblad of 2 News Oklahoma. It shows Stutsman taking the time to encourage a fellow player who was feeling down after an OU game.
This is a perfect example of what a great leader like Danny Stutsman does to a team.

Lindblad wrote about the video: "This is a perfect example of what a great leader like Danny Stutsman does to a team. He sees Jackson Arnold walking with his head down, races over and tells him 'I got you every single day. We are family.' #Sooners are lucky to get another year with him in the mix."
In the video, you can see Arnold walking dejectedly after a game, as Stutsman notices and runs up to him from behind. He quickly gets to Arnold's side and puts a comforting arm around Arnold's shoulders, while taking time to tell him the encouraging words.
And now the Saints are the ones lucky to have Stutsman.
"Everyone needs a Danny in their lives," one person wrote, replying to the video.
Another person replied, "@FbStutsman is a leader on this TEAM, not just defense. Love this team & their heart!! I feel bad for those leaving, but OUr team will come back stronger next year!"
After Stutsman's draft, X began recommending this video to people searching for posts about him.
Stutsman was the No. 112 overall pick in the fourth round. He started in 12 games this past season, with 109 tackles. He was named a Consensus All-American.
When Stutsman received the honor, On3 reported that head coach Brent Venables said about Stutsman: "I’m really proud and thankful for all the seniors but certainly the growth and maturity that has taken place with Danny. To me, having a guy that has a legacy somewhere comes from making the place better than when you got there. If he’s done something, he’s done that. And he’s left his mark."
