Brand Risk 14 is shaping up to be one of the more unpredictable crossover fight cards of the year when Adin Ross brings the event to the UFC Apex on May 23. While the card is officially headlined by Johnny Manziel facing Bob Menery, the matchup directly before it between Ray J and Supah Hot Fire has quietly become one of the biggest talking points surrounding the event.

While Ray J has no recorded combat sports experience, he has shared at least some training footage publicly ahead of the fight.

Earlier this week, he posted an Instagram video training with Quinton Jackson and Jackson’s son Raja, captioning the post: "Ball in my face! - this MmA s**t is nutz- Rampage and his son Raja was teaching me the Ropes 4 my fight this weekend - thoughts?".

Earlier this year, Ray J revealed he had been hospitalized with pneumonia and heart complications, stating during a livestream that his heart was “only beating like 25%.”.

Standing opposite him is Supah Hot Fire, the viral parody battle rapper and internet comedian who already has previous combat sports experience. He reportedly holds a 2-3 record with one knockout victory and most recently lost a split decision boxing match to Gypsy Crusader at a Brand Risk event in Miami.

Ring Walk Times

Because Ray J vs. Supah Hot Fire is expected to take place directly before Manziel vs. Menery, the matchup is projected to happen late in the broadcast.

  • Estimated Ring Walks: Around 2 a.m. ET / 11 p.m. PT
  • UK Estimate: Around 7 a.m. BST

That timeline makes much more sense historically for creator boxing/MMA cards starting at 11 p.m. ET. The estimates could shift depending on earlier fight durations, bout shifts and pacing throughout the stream.
