 Selma LB commits to Oklahoma

Kristan Moore has announced a commitment to the Oklahoma Sooners.

Moore is a senior at Selma High School in Selma, Alabama. He currently garners a three-star rating from multiple recruiting sites and is projected to be a linebacker at the next level.

“Jim Naggy and coach (Brent) Venables are major factors of my decision to commit to Oklahoma,” Moore told Touchdown Alabama. “The Oklahoma defense is top-tier, and I feel it should be any linebacker’s dream. They are truly defensive masterminds and overall, I have to say the family atmosphere and the genuineness that I’ve received since the first day I stepped foot on their campus this past summer for camp.”

Moore has had an exciting few weeks with him once being committed to North Alabama, earning an Oklahoma offer, visiting the Sooners and now committing. He feels his story is somthing any kid hoping to play on the next level can be inspired by.

“Being an unranked and under-exposed kid, I was told it would be impossible to gain P4 interest without already having it before my senior year,” Moore said. “I was told it was even more impossible while changing positions. I was told that if I didn’t get the offer right after camp, I had wasted my time and money. But Mr. Naggy reassured me that OU was coming, and on Thanksgiving he stayed true to those words. For that, I’m forever grateful and committed to this university”
