Utah cranked out four straight wins to start the season, and then the injuries hit, the quarterback situation was never right, and seven straight losses later the team became one of the nation’s biggest disappointments - fortunately for the Utes, Florida State took the gold on that.

UCF was at least expected to be a player in the Big 12 race, and a bowl was assumed with the talent around the program. But a 1-7 run was rough, the loss last week to West Virginia ended any bowl hopes, and now this is it.

Utah vs UCF: Who Will Win?

Can Utah do anything to get the offense moving? The defense is helping the cause with takeaways, but the offense is among the worst in the nation in third down conversions. The passing game isn’t doing much of anything to keep things moving.

But the Ute defense is No. 1 in the nation in third down stops. On the flip side, UCF is solid offensively on third downs, but the defense isn’t doing much to stop anyone.

The moveable object vs the stoppable force.

UCF’s ground game is good, but Utah is 4-0 when running for 170 yards or more. UCF is 0-7 when allowing more than 70 yards.

At home, UCF’s O will be a wee bit better.
