Despite his impressive resume, Scott’s current ranking didn’t grant him automatic entry. This led to him relying on Woods. The 43-year-old would reach out to the him and ask for a sponsor’s invite.

After this moment, Scott claimed he couldn’t quite recall the exact date of the last sponsor’s invitation. Adam Scott’s 2024 season is off to a great start. The talented golfer from Brisbane, Australia has already achieved two top-10 finishes in Dubai and Phoenix. Additionally, he performed well at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, tying for 20th place.

Now, Scott is returning to Riviera Country Club, a place where he has experienced much success. With two victories and seven top 10s throughout his illustrious career, Riviera holds a special place in his heart.

It’s always a highlight of my year playing here. I love this track, and I love this event It’s my favorite event I play on tour, so I’m so thankful to be a sponsor’s invite this week and get the chance to have another go around Riviera Adam Scott on the Riviera course as per SB Nation.

A reason why the former Masters champion likes the event is because he feels right at home in Southern California because as it reminds him of Australia. The eucalyptus trees, the grass, and even the weather feel similar to him.

The Kikuyu grass on Riviera’s fairways can be challenging for many players. It’s thickness often causes the shots of the players to go wide of their intended target. However, Scott is no stranger to this type of grass, as it’s commonly found in Australia. This familiarity might be one of the reasons why he has been so successful at Riviera.
