Los Angeles native Sahith Theegala will be playing alongside fellow Californian Collin Morikawa for Los Angeles Golf Club during TGL's inaugural season, which is set to begin on Jan. 9, 2024, at Sofi Center in Palm Gardens, Florida.

"I am honored and excited to be joining Los Angeles Golf Club," Theegala said. "Being part of this dynamic team presents an incredible opportunity to represent my hometown of Los Angeles and grow the game of golf locally. I look forward to representing LAGC on the course and contributing to the success of the team in the upcoming season."

Theegala was a decorated college golfer for Pepperdine University in Los Angeles, where he became just the fifth player to win the Haskins Award, the Ben Hogan Award, and the Jack Nicklaus Award in the same season in 2020.

After a pair of close calls at the 2022 Waste Management Phoenix Open and 2022 Travelers Championship, Theegala finally burst through for his maiden PGA Tour win at the 2023 Fortinet Championship in September. He finished 21-under to win by two strokes and now sits inside the top 30 in the Official World Golf Ranking.

"We are delighted to welcome Sahith Theegala to the Los Angeles Golf Club family," said Neal Hubman, Club President. "Sahith's remarkable talent and commitment to the game align seamlessly with our vision of LAGC. This addition to our roster marks a pivotal moment for our club, and we are eager to witness the extraordinary impact he will undoubtedly have on our team."

Los Angeles Golf Club is the inaugural team of TGL, the new tech-infused golf simulator league spearheaded and developed by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy in partnership with the PGA Tour. LAGC's ownership includes Seven Seven Six founder Alexis Ohanian, tennis stars Serena and Venus Williams, the NBA's Antetokounmpo brothers, Alex Morgan, Servando Carrasco, and Michelle Wie West.
