Tiger Woods moved to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for 'continuing orthopedic care' after accident

Golf star Tiger Woods was transferred from Harbor-UCLA Medical Center to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Wednesday night after undergoing surgery on his legs following his single-car accident earlier this week, according to ESPN's Ramona Shelburne.

The Harbor-UCLA Medical Center said in a statement that Woods was moved to Cedars-Sinai for "continuing orthopedic care and recovery."

Woods was transported to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center on Tuesday after he crashed his vehicle that morning. Rescuers had to use hydraulic rescue tools to remove Woods from his vehicle. He underwent surgery and had rods, pins and screws placed in his leg to stabilize it.

It's unclear how long the 45-year-old will remain in the hospital. It's also unclear how long it will take him to recover from his injuries, which are considered serious.
