The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets earned a crucial series victory by taking two of three at home over the Louisville Cardinals. The Jackets run-ruled the Cardinals in game one of the season, powering past Louisville, 8-0 in just five innings. Sophia Voyles recorded her first-career complete game, allowing just 1 hit in the 5 inning win. Mallorie Black and Sara Beth Allen each belted 3-run home runs for Tech. The Cardinals got some late-game heroics as Louiville scored 4 runs in the 6th and 7th inning, rallying for the 4-1 win at Georgia Tech. Riley Frizell and Vanessa Miller each hit home runs in the sixth and Daisy Hess added an RBI single in the 7th to give the Cards some insurance. Alyssa Zabala allowed only 4 hits while striking out 5 batters in a complete game effort that earned her win number 17 on the season. Mallorie Black provided the heroics with a 9th-inning walk-off home run to wrap up a series win for the Yellow Jackets. It was her ACC-leading 18th homer of the season. In the circle, Chandler Dennis, Sophia Voyles and Kinsey Norton combined for 13 strikeouts in the win.
