Major League Baseball announced the rosters and coaching staffs for the 2023 Arizona Fall League, which begins on Monday, October 2. The Glendale Desert Dogs roster will be comprised of prospects from the Los Angeles Dodgers, Chicago White Sox, Boston Red Sox, New York Mets and Minnesota Twins.

The Dodgers are sending eight prospects to the AFL, including Ronan Kopp and Yeiner Fernandez. Kopp and Fernandez are the organization’s No. 16 and 26 ranked prospects, according to MLB Pipeline.

Ben Casparius, Damon Keith, Jake Pilarski, Ryan Sublette, Jake Vogel and Kendall Williams will also represent the Dodgers on the Desert Dogs roster.

David Anderson, who just completed his second year as the High-A Great Lakes Loons pitching coach, is going to serve in the same role for Glendale.

Kopp went 0-4 with a 2.99 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 13.3 strikeouts per nine in 72.1 innings pitched for the Loons this season (30 games, 21 starts).

Fernandez hit .274/.360/.375 with 14 doubles, three triples, six home runs and 50 RBI in 433 plate appearances with Great Lakes (99 games).

Casparius pitched to a combined 6-7 with a 5.27 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 10 strikeouts per nine in 107.2 innings between the Loons and Double-A Tulsa over 26 games (21 starts).

Keith batted .229/.312/.373 with 21 doubles, 11 home runs and 55 RBI in 439 plate appearances with Great Lakes (106 games).

Pilarski compiled a 1-2 record, 4.60 ERA, 1.70 WHIP and 9.2 strikeouts per nine in 43 innings between the Loons and Drillers (37 games).

Sublette went 2-4 with a 6.27 ERA, 1.78 WHIP and 11.4 strikeouts per nine in 47.1 innings pitched for the Drillers (43 games, one start).

Vogel hit .236/.312/.325 with 22 doubles, three home runs, 39 RBI and 28 stolen bases in 421 plate appearances with the Loons (113 games).

Williams went 4-7 with a 3.73 ERA and 1.26 WHIP in 79.2 innings pitched between the Dodgers’ Rookie-level affiliate, Loons, Drillers and Triple-A Oklahoma City (17 games, 16 starts).

Desert Dogs schedule, Fall Stars Game & AFL Championship

The Desert Dogs begin their 30-game schedule against the Salt River Rafters on October 2. The new Goodyear Ballpark Tripleheader will take place Saturday, October 14, and the new Hohokam Doubleheader is on Saturday, October 28.

The AFL Home Run Derby will be held at Sloan Park on Saturday, November 4, while the Fall Stars Game is scheduled the following day.

The play-in semifinal will be decided at Camelback Ranch on Friday, November 10, and the AFL Championship Game will be played the following day at Scottsdale Stadium.
