Colton Cowser was named the AL Player of the Week on April 16th. He’s become an everyday player for the Baltimore Orioles. He’s had a hot start to the season and is just 24 years old. The youngster has four home runs, 15 RBI, 18 hits, three stolen bases, and a .400 batting average. Talk about sensational and impressive.

Orioles’ Colton Cowser Earns AL Player of the Week

Cowser might find himself on his way to Rookie of the Year with the impressive numbers he has put up so far this season. He is one of the best Orioles prospects currently on their team. Cowser has put the league on notice and is on fire. However, he got off to a tough start when he entered the big leagues. Making his debut last season, he went 7-for-61 in 2023. But he then tore it up in spring training with six home runs, and now his past troubles seem to be behind him. Cowser is one of many talented prospects that the Orioles have.

The wild thing about the Orioles is that Jackson Holliday, Adley Rutschman, and Gunnar Henderson get all the attention. But they have Cowser, Heston Kjerstad, Coby Mayo, and Connor Norby all waiting to get tapped. Cowser can be called many things, but at the end of the day, he is a beast, and it will be intriguing to see how his numbers end up as the season progresses. The young talent across MLB continues to come forward. While we can appreciate the veteran players who have put in their blood, sweat, and tears, it’s hard to ignore all the talented young guns in baseball.
