All Yankees reportedly vaccinated ahead of series at Toronto

It turns out the on-the-field action should be the biggest talking point to emerge from the upcoming three-game series involving the 16-6 New York Yankees and 15-8 Toronto Blue Jays that gets underway in Canada on Monday evening.

According to David Adler of the official MLB website, MLB Network insider Jon Heyman reports that the entire Yankees squad is now considered fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and journeyed to Toronto for the series. It was learned back in March that MLB players would not be exempt from following Canadian government regulations and, thus, would need to be 14 days beyond receiving a second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or 14 days past getting the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine to enter the country for road games in Toronto.

Yankees slugger Aaron Judge raised eyes in March when he refused to confirm his coronavirus vaccination status. Per Mike Rosenstein of NJ Advance Media for NJ.com, Yankees manager Aaron Boone said two weeks ago he expected his roster "to be in a good spot" regarding the club's first series in Canada this season.

The Yankees haven't addressed the vaccination statuses of players this spring.

The Yankees and Blue Jays split a four-game series in the Bronx last month. On Sunday, New York defeated the Kansas City Royals 6-4 to earn a ninth consecutive victory.
