June is coming to a close.

We’re now about to enter the fourth calendar month of the 2022 regular season.

For the Los Angeles Angels, it hasn’t exactly been easy.

They began the month on an epic losing skid that began at the end of May and carried over into June.

But there were a few bright spots for the Halos.

One of them was Shohei Ohtani.

The two-way star has been carrying the load on the mound and at the plate for the Halos.

He came up big on the mound several times after an Angels loss.

The Angels public relations department tweeted some mind-boggling Ohtani stats from the month of June.

SHO-Time Saves The Day

Despite how rough things have gotten in Anaheim, the Angels could always count on their two-way hero to stop the bleeding on the mound and come through in the clutch at the plate.

Ohtani is a player who is desperate for a chance to play in October, and while the Angels’ current trajectory doesn’t look good, Ohtani is doing everything in his power to make sure he has a chance to compete on the October stage.

He’s one of those players that you can count on no matter how bad things get with your team.

Ohtani played the role of stopper on the mound several times, while continuing to hit for average and power like nobody’s business.

That OPS is quite impressive too.

Ohtani is undoubtedly one of the best players in all of baseball and he is the man who the Angels are trying to build around along with Mike Trout.

Perhaps if he was hot in June, he could help get them back on track in July.
