The Los Angeles Angels continued to overhaul their bullpen with the signing of right-handed reliever Jose Cisnero to a one-year contract worth $1.75 million.

Cisnero, 34, went 3-4 with two saves, a 5.31 ERA, 70 strikeouts and 25 walks in 59 1/3 innings over 63 relief appearances for the Detroit Tigers in 2023. He finished 18 of those games.

In a corresponding move, the Angels designated infielder Livan Soto for assignment on Saturday.

The Angels also have signed relievers Robert Stephenson, Matt Moore, Luis Garcia, Adam Cimber and Adam Kolarek this offseason.

Cisnero was a free agent after five seasons with Detroit. He led all Tigers pitchers with 222 appearances from 2019-23 and recorded a 3.84 ERA, 229 strikeouts and 104 walks in 211 innings.

He began his professional career with the Houston Astros in 2007 and pitched for the big-league club from 2013-14 before having Tommy John surgery in 2014. His career totals are a 13-17 record, six saves, a 3.99 ERA, 275 strikeouts and 130 walks in 259 1/3 innings over 255 games (no starts).

Soto, 23, batted .375 in 64 at-bats over 22 games for the Angels from 2022-23.
