The Los Angeles Angels were off to a hot start in 2022 and had taken control of the American League West division.

Since then, however, things have gotten a little dicey for the Halos.

The Angels have lost 11 games in a row and have fallen below the .500 mark.

They also now are not in playoff position, as the Boston Red Sox have leapfrogged them and taken sole possession of the third Wild Card spot.

Angels beat writer Sam Blum tweeted about the state of affairs for the team, quoting infielder Matt Duffy, who sounded off on the losing skid and revealed that there have been a few team meetings lately.

The Angels’ Fall From Grace

This is about as bad as it can get for the Angels.

With the talent on their roster, one would think that such a losing skid wouldn’t be possible.

But at this point, they’re trying everything possible to try and stop the bleeding, even holding some team meetings to try and turn things around.

Duffy revealed that one of the meetings was coach-driven and the other was player-driven.

Perhaps at a certain point, the front office and ownership have to get involved, that is, if the streak extends beyond 11 games.

Maybe hearing it from the higher ups will help get them back in the right frame of mind.

The two team meetings to this point have not helped the Halos turn the tide, so at this point, it’s almost as if anything goes.

The Angels open up a crucial four-game series with the Red Sox, who now have control over the final AL Wild Card spot.

If there was ever a time to turn it around, this would be it for the Angels.
