The Arizona Diamondbacks have signed C Ronaldo Hernandez to a minor league deal, per ESPN baseball insider Kiley McDaniel.

This deal will come with a spring training invite.

At 26 years old, Hernandez has spent the past three seasons in Triple-A as part of the Boston Red Sox organization.

While he has not gotten a call up to the major leagues yet, Hernandez has shown flashes of promise as he has hit 50 home runs combined over the past three seasons.

Currently, Hernandez is playing in the Dominican Winter League, where he has 13 hits in 53 at-bats to go along with a .616 OPS.

A couple of years ago, Hernandez was considered a top-50 Major League Baseball prospect.

Stay tuned for further updates.
