On the day that Brooks Robinson died at the age of 86, the Baltimore Orioles honored him with a 1-0 victory over the Washington Nationals.
The O's victory moved them one step closer to winning the American League East, as they now sit at 98-59 this year.
They lead the Tampa Bay Rays by 2.5 games in the division. The O's magic number is down to two.
While the passing of Robinson and the tributes to him were the overarching story of Tuesday night at Camden Yards, starting pitcher Kyle Bradish led the way for Baltimore on the field.
The righty went 8.0 sensational innings, allowing no runs on just three hits. He walked two and struck out four and is now 12-7 on the season.
The 27-year-old owns a 2.86 ERA over 166.2 innings and is closing in on the team record books.

With 8 scoreless IP tonight, Kyle Bradish lowered his ERA to 2.86. He would be the first Orioles to finish with a sub-3.00 ERA since Mike Mussina in 1992.
Bradish is scheduled to start on Sunday, but might not have to with the O's magic number to clinch the AL East now at 2.
If the Orioles are able to wrap up a division crown, they'll give themselves a bye in the first-round of the American League playoffs. They also would be the No. 1 seed in the playoffs.
The O's will take on the Nationals again on Wednesday night. First pitch is set for 6:35 p.m. ET.
