Best and craziest burgers from ballparks across the U.S. for 2016

If you're going to celebrate your 2015 World Series title, may as well do so in style. 

New for 2016, Kauffman Stadium serves up the Champions Alley Burger. This monument to winning features a beef patty is stuffed with cheddar deep-fried in tempura batter with a sweet cole slaw, chipotle ketchup and just because they can, a fried pickle garnish.

The Rattlers aren't the only one with bite in Wisconsin. A one-pound beef patty, eight slices of crisp bacon, half a pound of cheese and lettuce, and of course, two funnel cakes for buns makes for one Big Mother Funnel Burger. 

We're not sure the Yankees know much about barnyards or weddings, but we're not going to argue with marriage of a custom beef blend, aged cheddar cheese, fried chicken, and barbecue sauce dress up this fancy pretzel bun. 

The best of New York is featured on The 108 Burger at Citi Field; hand-sliced pastrami, deli mustard and havarti cheese all on a fresh baked pretzel roll topped with a pickle. One could easily have these all through September for another World Series run.

"Stacked" hardly seems to be a strong enough descriptor for the Stacked Smokehouse Burger at Franklin Covey Field, it's more  of a mountain.

A grilled cheeseburger is mounded with sliced barbecue brisket, smoked pulled pork, baked beans, cole slaw, red onions, pickles, tomatoes and then topped with a locally-sourced artisanal bun. 

Hodad's burgers may not be over the top, but this San Diego institution's oversized, juicy cheeseburgers have been given the 'Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives' stamp of approval as one of the best burgers in the country. 

Named after a local radio host and a fan of the team, the RJ Harrisburger is a monster. The half-pound chopped steak patty is topped with pulled pork, grilled peppers and onions with a layer of melted pepper jack cheese to keep all the delicious insides warm, served on a soft hoagie roll. And if all of that isn't enough, fans have the the option of adding plain or barbecue potato chips as an extra crunchy topping. 

Cheeseburgers for four stuffed between two pepperoni pizzas for buns? Fans of the Atlanta Braves are going to need all the extra innings they can get to finish this behemoth burger.

Cubs fans have more than great pitching at Wrigley Field, 'Da Burger' takes a pork patty and piles it high with sliced ham, bacon, Swiss cheese, pickles and a spicy mustard aioli. 

Fans of the Philadelphia Phillies might want to make sure their hearts are ready for the double play of exciting action on the field and a triple triple-patty cheeseburger from Waybackburgers.

With its lively Cuban community, it's not surprise the Tropicana Field would offer a stellar burger inspired by the sandwich. Two beef patties take the place of traditional roasted pork but keep the Tampa-specific preferences of ham, salami, Swiss cheese, mustard on a firm ciabatta roll.

One of the original "bad boy" burgers of baseball, the Donut Bacon Cheeseburger. A whole 1/3 of pound beef patty is topped with cheddar cheese, bacon and all the usual burger fixings, and just for good measure, it's served between two sugar glazed donuts for buns. 

"Saucy" is how they play it in Toronto. This house-made ground beef and spicy sausage meat loaf is smothered with tomato sauce, melted provolone cheese and arugula then served on a brioche bun. Nona couldn't argue if you secretly love the Blue Jays' meat loaf more than hers. 

Holy Toledo! This burger stacks up to be more than a meal. A pretzel bun top, red onion, lettuce, tomato, two slices of cheddar cheese, quarter pound patty, two slices of provolone cheese, quarter pound patty, pretzel bun, red onion, quarter pound patty, two slices of provolone cheese, quarter pound patty, tomato, lettuce, and finally, a pretzel bun bottom. (For those of you counting, that's four quarter pounders!)

And oh yeah, some bacon slices in there. Can't forget the bacon. 

A classic fitting its home at Camden Yards, this pork burger patty is married with sweet barbecue sauce, coleslaw and fried onions.A burger doesn't have to be oversized to be impactful, it just needs to be perfect. 

Can't decide between a burger or a hot dog? Chase Field makes sure you can do deep fried hot dog made from ground up grilled hamburgers, bacon, pickles, onion and cheddar cheese, and in case that's not enough, it's topped with more chopped bacon and secret sauce. Look for it at Big Dawgs on the main concourse or at Extreme Dogs on the Club Level.

"New York, the city so nice they named it twice" is the theme of this Double-Double at Yankee Stadium.

Two grilled cheese sandwiches for buns, two cheeseburger patties, and onion rings make for a solid double play. 

Tiger fans can nosh on a great burger-sandwich combo, the Corktown Burger, at Comerica Park. A thick grilled hamburger patty is topped with all the makings of a great reuben; corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese and Thousand Island dressing.
