Alex Anthopoulos has already said he will be looking to add a left-handed bat ahead of the trade deadline. It could be a second baseman to platoon with Arcia or it could be an outfielder, given the uncertainty surrounding Eddie Rosario and even Michael Harris II if he begins to regress. Atlanta also might be interested in a right-handed bullpen arm or perhaps even a frontline starter, especially if things don’t work out the way they hope leading up to the trade deadline.

There’s a lot of time for Alex Anthopoulos to figure things out. Right now, the Braves don’t really need much, but if things change, they do have some prospects that should interest opposing teams.

Earlier today, Bleacher Report went over the biggest trade chip from each organization, and the Braves’ was a talented young lefty — Tucker Davidson. Here’s what they had to say about the 26-year-old southpaw.

The Braves have Tucker Davidson, Bryce Elder, Kyle Muller, Touki Toussaint and Huascar Ynoa all on the 40-man roster currently pitching at Triple-A Gwinnett. As MLB-ready arms with multiple years of club control, that group will be extremely appealing to non-contenders, and Davidson is the oldest of the bunch at 26 years old.

If the Braves are looking to make a substantial trade, I could see any of their arms that are close to being major-league ready on the table. Kyle Muller is the most attractive of the bunch, but Bryce Elder and Tucker Davidson should also move the needle for several rebuilding clubs.

But if the Braves are to make any type of blockbuster deal ahead of the trade deadline, Drew Waters might be the most attractive trade piece they have to offer. He’s struggled in AAA, but he still holds a lot of value, and the Braves outfield is packed right now. Packaging him with one of the arms mentioned above could land the Braves a significant contributor at the trade deadline.
