Boos, trash rain onto field at Dodgers-Astros game at Dodger Stadium

Perhaps it was expected that Dodgers fans weren't going to give the Astros a warm welcome when the  World Series foes had a rematch this week at Chavez Ravine.

Los Angeles faithful took it up a notch, however, mixing a ferocious choir of boos with projectile trash cans being thrown on the field.

"That was a playoff atmosphere," Astros manager Dusty Baker said via ESPN. "These fans are in love with the Dodgers. I was here, and they indeed bleed Dodger Blue."

Baker knows a thing or two about this fan base, having played for the Dodgers for a decade and then coaching the rival San Francisco Giants in the 90s.

Tuesday's game had a different edge to it with the Astros' sign-stealing scandal still very fresh in the minds of Dodgers fans. But according to Houston's skipper, that made the atmosphere better.

"Boy, it was exciting," Baker continued. "It's not often that I would love to play in a game because I'm so far removed from playing, but this is a game I would've enjoyed playing in."

Fans were left to "pick up their own trash," so to speak, as the Astros shut out the Dodgers 3-0.
