The Boston Red Sox will finish out a weekend series with the New York Yankees on Sunday night 7:10 p.m. ET.

The two teams have split the first two games of the series with the Red Sox winning on Friday night and the Yankees winning on Saturday night.

This weekend marked a milestone for Red Sox star Rafael Devers -- and solidified his place in team history.

Per ESPN MLB Insider Buster Olney on Twitter:

From @EliasSports: Rafael Devers played in his 750th game in the opener of this series;

he ended Friday night with 363 career extra-base hits and 506 RBIs. The only other players who had 350 extra-base hits and 500 RBIs for the Red Sox over their first 750 games in the majors were Ted Williams (402 and 646) and Nomar Garciaparra (402 and 551).

That's extremely good company for Devers to be keeping as both players are among the most beloved in team history, with Williams being among the most revered players in baseball history altogether.

Devers is now hitting .247 on the season with 15 homers and 52 RBI. While the average has been down, the power has certainly been there. He's posting an OPS of .799 right now.

For his career, he's a two-time All-Star who helped the Red Sox win the World Series in the 2018 season. He's a lifetime .280 hitter with 154 home runs and now 507 RBI.

The series wraps up with Clarke Schmidt pitching for the Yankees and Brayan Bello going for Boston.
