The Braves pitching staff has been decimated by injuries throughout the season, but their most recent additions to the IL are a cause for concern.

A.J. Minter hit the Injured List this weekend with shoulder inflammation. He’ll be out for at least a couple of weeks, and Nick Anderson also joined the IL a few days ago, except with a 60-day designation. There’s a chance we’ve seen the last of him this season, and that’s not even considering Jesse Chavez and Dylan Lee, who are also both on the Injured List.

The Braves are now without four of their top relief arms. There’s hope that most of these guys will return at some point, but it’s impossible to expect all of them to come back and produce at the same level that they were pre-injury. That puts the Braves in a tricky spot heading into the trade deadline.

On the latest episode of SportsTalkATL, we discuss the Braves injuries to their bullpen, and how much they should add at the trade deadline. You can find SportsTalkATL weekdays from 9:00 PM to 10:00 PM on the Fox 5 Streaming App. Segments, like the one below, are also available on our YouTube channel.
