The Milwaukee Brewers were busy with roster moves Wednesday, including making official the signing of outfielder Raimel Tapia to a one-year contract, optioning infielder Abraham Toro to Triple-A Nashville and designating right-hander Cam Robinson for assignment.

The team also traded minor league right-hander Taylor Floyd to Minnesota to complete an April trade and activated lefty Eric Lauer from the 15-day injured list before optioning him to Nashville. Lauer has not played since May 20 because of a right shoulder impingement which the left-hander said impacted his delivery.

Lauer, 28, is 4-5 in nine appearances (eight starts) with a 5.48 ERA in 42 2/3 innings this season. He has given up 11 runs (seven earned) on 12 hits and four walks over 4 2/3 innings for a 13.50 ERA in his two rehab starts with Nashville.

In six seasons with the San Diego Padres and Brewers, Lauer is 36-36 with a 4.21 ERA over 119 appearances (111 starts).

Tapia, 29, appeared in 39 games for the Red Sox this season, batting .264 to go along with one home run and 10 RBIs before he was released Sunday.

He originally signed a minor league deal with the Red Sox before being named to the team's Opening Day roster.

The left-handed hitting and throwing Tapia is a career .276 hitter with 27 homers and 198 RBIs in 606 games with the Colorado Rockies (2016-21), Toronto Blue Jays (2022) and Red Sox (2023).

Toro, 26, had four hits in eight at-bats over five games with one home run and five RBIs. Robinson, 23, was on the 40-man roster but had not appeared in a major league game. The Brewers selected Robinson in the 23rd round of the 2017 June Amateur Draft out of University High School in Orlando, Fla.

Floyd went to Minnesota to complete the April 30 trade that brought right-hander Trevor Megill to Milwaukee. The 25-year-old Floyd has a 1-2 record with a 3.04 ERA in 15 games this season with High-A Wisconsin.
