As the countdown for the 2024 MLB season rolls on, several players are eager to make their make their mark. While the eyes of the world will be on Shohei Ohtani and some other huge names across the league, the Minnesota Twins fans are hoping to catch the glimpse of top prospect Brooks Lee .

As per reports, the 22-year-old young prodigy is all set to make his debut in the 2024 season. Twins GM Thad Levine has now revealed a potential timeline of when Lee could make his way to the major leagues in the upcoming season.

As per Levine, Lee will debut for the Twins whenever he feels he is ready to do so. While speaking on the SiriusXM’s Front Office show with Jim Bowden and Jim Duquette, the Twins GM informed that Lee will initially start the season with the Triple A, but will be allowed to move up when he wants.

He's going to come to camp. I think he's going to get a chance to showcase his abilities to get further acclimated to our coaching staff, to our major league environment. We're going to employ the strategy of when he tells us he's ready to go, we're going to get him up in the big leagues. Twins GM Thad Levine on Brooks Lee as per SiriusXM’s Front Office show.

This statement from Levine expresses the confidence they have in the rookie player. It will be now be interesting to see when does the 2022 first round draft pick actually makes his first appearance in the big leagues.

How did Brooks Lee perform in the 2023 season?

Ever since this words of Thad Levine go viral, the Minnesota Twins fans are unable to control their excitement. The chance to watch Brooks Lee bat up along with some of the star player on the roster has got them excited.

In their defence, they have the right to be excited as Lee has well and truly shown off his impressive skills and techniques in the minor leagues. During the 2023 baseball season, Lee appeared for both the Double A- Wichita Wing Surge and Triple-A St. Paul Saints affiliates of the Twins.

In this stint, he played a total of 125 games (87 in Double A and 35 in Triple A) combined. He would bat with a batting average of .275, hit 39 doubles, 3 triples, 16 home runs and collect 84 RBIs in the process. This stats show off the hitting talent he possess. On top of this, he was also named as the Twins Minor League Player of The Year.

Speaking on the Twins, they have traded away Jorge Polanco to the Seattle Mariners. This move could open the doors for Lee as the team looks for another strong showing in the upcoming 2024 season.
