The Texas Rangers won the World Series on Wednesday night by beating the Arizona Diamondbacks. Texas took the series three-games-to-one - it was the first title in the organization's history.

It was not the first title though for manager Bruce Bochy, who has now won four championships in his storied career. Bochy came out of retirement to help this group in a move that paid off for everyone. The win also put Bochy in some very rare and exclusive history.

Per Sarah Langs of MLB.com:

managers to win WS with multiple teams:

Bruce Bochy: SF, TEX

Sparky Anderson: CIN, DET

Bucky Harris: WAS, NYY

Tony La Russa: OAK, STL

Bill McKechnie: PIT, CIN

The 68-year-old skipper won the title in 2010, 2012, and 2014 with the Giants before this year. He also took the San Diego Padres to the World Series in 1998.

All in all, Bochy has spent 26 years as a Major League manager with the Padres, Giants and Rangers. He's a surefire Hall of Famer who has 2,093 career victories in the regular season.

This Rangers team was certainly special. It had power with guys like Marcus Semien, Corey Seager, Nate Lowe and Adolis Garcia. It also had contributions from youth like Josh Jung and Evan Carter. And it overcame obstacles, getting past injuries to Jacob deGrom in the regular season and Max Scherzer in the playoffs.

As we look towards 2024, the Rangers will have questions such as the impending free agency of Jordan Montgomery, but for now, enjoy your spot at the top, Boch!
