Bryce Harper is itching to get back to baseball and put on his Philadelphia Phillies uniform again.

The reigning NL MVP is showing that he, just like us, is dying for the ongoing MLB lockout to come to an end and for baseball to return.

Today, on his Instagram story, Harper posted a photo of himself with a Yomiuri Giants uniform photoshopped onto him and tagged the Japanese baseball team, saying he has “time to kill” and that he knows that they have had been in contact with Harper’s agent, Scott Boras, in the past.

He signed off on the story by saying “Let’s talk,” and added the fire emoji to his message.

Will It Happen?

Obviously, we all know that Harper isn’t going to be playing in Japan.

He just wants to be playing baseball again, and we’re all desperate for some good old-fashioned hardball.

This was simply a funny post that was intended to provide baseball fans with a sense of levity as the lockout drags on and threatens the originally scheduled date for Opening Day.

But if Harper did go to Japan, that would really help market the game overseas, as Harper is a unique talent and now is a two-time NL MVP.

It might also help give fans a distraction, at least until the lockout is over.

10 Out Of 10

To be quite frank, Harper does look pretty good in that Yomiuri Giants uniform, and whoever created that edit clearly has some serious photoshop skills.

It’s good to see Harper trying to lighten the mood in the midst of this lockout.

He knows that fans are desperate to watch baseball again, and is at the very least, trying to provide a little humor while we all wait on the owners and players to hammer out a new CBA.
