Bryce Harper's brother Bryan is reportedly working for a broker named Harvey Tadmor at Real Simple Real Estate in Las Vegas Jonathan Dyer-USA TODAY Sports

While Bryce Harper moves on to what the Philadelphia Phillies are hoping will be the prime of his career, his brother has chosen a different career path.

Harper’s older brother Bryan has retired from professional baseball and is beginning work as a real estate agent, the Las Vegas Review-Journal shared in an article about him on Sunday.

Bryan was a 30th-round pick by the Washington Nationals in the 2011 MLB Draft, the year after the Nats made Bryce the No. 1 pick. Bryan pitched in college at CSUN, College of Southern Nevada, along with his brother, and then South Carolina. He made it as high as Triple-A twice and was 16-7 with a 3.66 ERA and 15 saves in his minor-league career.

Bryan Harper missed all of the 2017 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery and went 3-1 with a 3.69 ERA in Double-A in 2018. After being released by the Nats, he played for the Lancaster Barnstormers of the Atlantic League last year but went 0-5 with a 5.17 ERA.

Now Harper has returned to Las Vegas and is beginning a career in real estate. He is working for a broker named Harvey Tadmor at Real Simple Real Estate in Las Vegas, according to the Review-Journal.
