According to a report from Mark Feinsand of MLB.com, the Chicago White Sox have come to terms with former Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Brett Phillips.

OF Brett Phillips has agreed to a deal with the White Sox, per source.
The 29-year-old Phillips has spent parts of seven years in the big leagues with the Brewers, Royals, Rays, Orioles and Angels.
He's become extremely popular around the league because of his fun personality, but he also runs well and plays excellent outfield defense. It's not known at this time if Phillips is getting a major or minor league deal but his defensive ability and speed should give him an opportunity to contribute in some capacity.
Not much at the plate, he's a career .187 hitter with a .272 on-base percentage. He hit just .144 in 2023 for the Rays, Orioles and Angels.
The White Sox are a good place for him to be in 2024 given that the team is rife with opportunity. After finishing fourth in the American League Central, new general manager Chris Getz is working to re-do the Sox roster, so there are very few things set in stone in Chicago.
The team currently has Luis Robert Jr. in the outfield and Andrew Benintendi is there too. That third spot could be up for grabs among Andrew Vaughn, Oscar Colas and Gavin Sheets - and Phillips.
Sheets and Vaughn can also play first base. At this point, Eloy Jimenez is largely a designated hitter and isn't really in contention for outfield time.
