Nolan Jones is fresh off a standout rookie year with the Colorado Rockies, and now he's getting some high praise entering 2024.

Jones came in at No. 3 on MLB Network's Top 10 Left Fielders Right Now list, the latest in a position-by-position series that has been running all month.

"Might be a surprise for a lot of people out there – Nolan Jones of the Colorado Rockies," MLB Network host Brian Kenny said on the broadcast Wednesday night. "Jones was a revelation for the Rockies last year, putting up impressive offensive and defensive numbers."

Here is MLB Network's full list of its top left fielders:

1. Yordan Alvarez, Houston Astros
2. Brandon Nimmo, New York Mets
3. Nolan Jones, Colorado Rockies
4. Bryan Reynolds, Pittsburgh Pirates
5. Chas McCormick, Houston Astros
6. Randy Arozarena, Tampa Bay Rays
7. Lars Nootbaar, St. Louis Cardinals
8. Christian Yelich, Milwaukee Brewers
9. Matt Wallner, Minnesota Twins
10. Kyle Schwarber, Philadelphia Phillies

The Rockies acquired Jones in a trade back with the Cleveland Guardians back in November of 2022, a few months after he made his big league debut.

Jones started 2023 in Triple-A, and he didn't make his Rockies debut until late May. In the 106 appearances he made from that point on, Jones hit .297 with 20 home runs, 62 RBI, 20 stolen bases, a .931 OPS and a 4.3 WAR.

The soon-to-be 26-year-old also led the league with 19 outfield assists. He finished fourth in NL Rookie of the Year voting.

Jones was the highest-ranked of the three newcomers on the list. Nootbaar and Wallner made their debuts as well, while Nimmo, Reynolds and McCormick all moved over from the center field list.

No other Rockies players have been recognized by MLB Network thus far. The only Top 10 Lists that have yet to be revealed are center field, third base and relief pitchers.
