Dave Roberts: 'I'm just happy Walker Buehler's wearing a Dodger uniform'

Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Walker Buehler is building a pretty impressive resume. His Game 3 performance against the Tampa Bay Rays was tremendous, and he allowed his team to take a 2-1 series lead with dominance on the mound.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts couldn't wrap his head around what he witnessed from Buehler following the game. Roberts revealed he'd put Buehler in some pretty elite company after all he's accomplished on the mound, according to ESPN's Jeff Passan:

"I haven't put it all together and grasped or wrapped my head around all that he's accomplished in this short period of time. Being a big-game pitcher and really succeeding on this stage, there's only a few guys currently and throughout history. He's in some really elite company, and I'm just happy he's wearing a Dodger uniform."

Buehler became the first pitcher in World Series history to record double-digit strikeouts in six innings. He allowed one run on three hits while striking out 10. The only other Dodgers in franchise history to punch out 10 and allow three or fewer runs are Sandy Koufax and Clayton Kershaw.

Buehler is 2-0 this postseason with a 1.50 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 39 strikeouts in 25 innings.

The right-hander could be available to start later in the series if it goes to seven games, but there's no guarantee of that.
