Throughout the first 13 home games of the 2024 season, no team witnessed a higher attendance increase compared to last season than the Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase Field.

The Diamondbacks are currently averaging 31,751 fans per home game, placing them 11th in the league, just one spot behind the 2023 World Series champions, the Texas Rangers.

In the initial five games of the Diamondbacks’ 2024 season, Chase Field welcomed a total attendance of 171,056, averaging 34,211 fans per game. This marked the highest attendance for Chase Field during the first five games of a season since 2004, ranking third all-time behind the record attendance of 2004 and 1998.

Furthermore, this upward trend has persisted during Arizona’s recent series at home.

According to data compiled by @Codify on X, the Diamondbacks have experienced the most significant attendance boost at home this season compared to any other team.

While one could argue that this increase is solely due to popular visiting teams such as the Yankees, Cubs, and Cardinals, this is not the complete picture.

For instance, when the Cardinals visited last year in July, Chase Field hosted an average of 23,071 fans over a three-game series. This year, an average of 29,782 fans attended, representing a 6,000 fan increase per game.

Unfortunately, while fans have flocked to Chase Field to watch the Diamondbacks, they have not been able to witness Arizona’s full roster. Early in the season, the D-backs have grappled with several injuries. Currently, Paul Sewald , Geraldo Perdomo, Merrill Kelly , Alek Thomas, Eduardo Rodriguez, and Ryne Nelson are all out with injuries.
