The Los Angeles Dodgers roster didn’t change during the Seoul Series once it was set for the two games in South Korea, but there was some movement before finishing a four-game set against the St. Louis Cardinals.

The Dodgers shuffled their bullpen on Sunday by selecting the contract of Nabil Crismatt and optioning Kyle Hurt to Triple-A Oklahoma City. The Dodgers were coming off an extra-innings games and Hurt was a likely candidate to get sent to Oklahoma City due to his usage in the loss.

Crismatt wound up providing two scoreless innings, which aided the Dodgers in their comeback win to take the series.

Now the Dodgers are calling up Dinelson Lamet from Oklahoma City prior to their series opener against the San Francisco Giants, according to Robert Murray of FanSided:

It’s not yet known what the corresponding roster moves are going to be in order for the Dodgers to officially select Lamet’s contract from Oklahoma City. They need to add the right-hander to their 40-man roster prior to making him active.

Lamet signed a Minor League contract with the Dodgers in February and was slightly delayed in reporting to Camelback Ranch for Spring Training due to a visa issue. He went on to appear in four Cactus League games, allowing two runs (one earned) and collecting five strikeouts over 3.2 innings pitched.

The 31-year-old began the season on the Oklahoma City Baseball Club roster but did not appear in any of their three games against the Tacoma Rainiers (Seattle Mariners Triple-A affiliate).

Dinelson Lamet stats

Lamet has six years of experience at the MLB level, and first debuted in 2017 before missing all of 2018 after undergoing Tommy John surgery.

He has spent time with the San Diego Padres, Colorado Rockies and Boston Red Sox. Lamet was signed by the Padres in 2014 as an international free agent and remained with the organization until being traded in August 2022.

The Milwaukee Brewers acquired Lamet in the deal for Josh Hader, but he was designated for assignment one day later due to a lack of fit on the roster. Lamet was then picked up by the Rockies and remained with the team into the 2023 season.

The Rockies released Lamet in late June of that year and he went on to sign with the Red Sox. However, Lamet struggled to the tune of an 11.71 ERA across 27.2 innings and was released in August 2023.

Lamet owns a career 4.66 ERA, 4.02 FIP and 5.7 WAR.
