The Dodgers added more to their bullpen depth on Friday, agreeing to a minor-league deal with veteran left-handed pitcher Justin Wilson. The Athletic's Fabian Ardaya confirmed that it was a minor league contract, with a non-roster invite to Spring Training.

FanSided's Robert Murray was the first to announce the news of the signing.

Wilson comes over after spending much of the 2023 season recovering from Tommy John surgery that he had in June 2022. However, he did make a few appearances for the Milwaukee Brewers in Triple-A.

He posted an ERA of 1.42 over 6.1 innings of work. His season was short-lived, as he injured his lat while warming up right after being active by Milwaukee. He was forced to miss the rest of the season from then on.

Wilson last pitched in the big leagues with the Cincinnati Reds prior to having his surgery. He only appeared in 3.2 innings for Cincinnati during the 2022 season but did post an ERA of 1.45.

He gives the Dodgers another left-handed arm in the bullpen to potentially use and will have a chance to compete for a roster spot. The Dodgers have typically been good about finding value in players like Wilson, so maybe he will be their next big reclamation project.
