The Los Angeles Dodgers don't just have the best lineup in baseball, but one could argue that they have the strongest starting rotation as well.

Los Angeles had a total makeover in the rotation after an embarrassing outing on that front to end their 2023 season. The Boys in Blue have some new arms to show off. However, it's not like they lacked arm talent before; it just so happens a few of them are on the mend.

The Dodgers struggled to keep a consistent rotation in 2023, and they hope all of that changes in 2024. One of their elite arms, who is currently injured, is right-handed flame thrower Dustin May. May's season was cut short in 2023 after undergoing surgery to repair his flexor tendon.

His status for 2024 was reportedly in jeopardy, but a new development has surfaced. There's a chance he could be on the mound by the second half of the season.

The Athletic's Fabian Ardaya shared in his latest column.

May said he’s throwing at 90 feet as he continues his progression, with hope of a mid-August timeline for a return — around the same time the Dodgers are anticipating Clayton Kershaw is back from shoulder surgery.

This is tremendous news for one of L.A.'s filthiest arms on their team.

May has some of the most unique and elite stuff. If he returns to complete form, he can take this team to new heights.

As we're well aware, the Dodgers could never have enough arms. The return of Dustinmania could be just what the doctor ordered around his scheduled return time.

Before his 2023 season ended, May recorded a 4-1 record with a 2.63 ERA, 34 strikeouts, 167 ERA+ and a 0.93 WHIP in nine starts. If the Dodgers can get half of that, plus his elite stuff with high velocity, L.A. would be in great shape for October.
