The Los Angeles Dodgers fell apart in epic fashion on Wednesday night, and Dodgers fans did not want to stick around for a possible comeback.

The Dodgers blew a 3-1 lead in the deciding Game 5 of the NLDS against the Washington Nationals. Clayton Kershaw, who was pitching in a rare relief appearance, surrendered back-to-back home runs in the eighth to tie the game. Then Dodgers manager Dave Roberts brought Joe Kelly in for the ninth, and the reliever shut things down to send the game to extra innings.

Rather than replace Kelly, he allowed the reliever to stay in the game for the 10th. Kelly proceeded to give up a leadoff walk and then a double to Anthony Rendon. The Dodgers intentionally walked Juan Soto but still left Kelly in the game. Next thing you know, Howie Kendrick belted a grand slam to make it 7-3.

Several Dodgers fans were so disgusted they started to head for the exits.

For their sake, you hope they didn’t completely leave the stadium. That’s giving up on the team before it’s necessary.
