It has now been a week since the great Vin Scully passed away at the age of 94.

The longtime Los Angeles Dodgers announcer was one of, if not the best to ever do it.

He possessed a wealth of knowledge, not just about the Dodgers, but other teams and sports as well.

He was simply a legend.

In his honor, the Dodgers made jerseys featuring a patch honoring the late Scully.

Yesterday, the Dodgers announced on Twitter that they would be making these jerseys available at the team store for purchase.

Proceeds will go to all the charities that were close to Scully’s heart.

Dodgers Honor Scully With Unique Patch

This is a nice gesture by the club.

Scully truly meant everything to the organization and the fans, as well as the entire sports world.

His wealth of knowledge was second to none in the game of baseball.

He always had great stories to tell about his many years of experience and was quite the entertainer on the air.

But most importantly, Scully was a class act and a kindhearted man who was adored by players and fans alike.

He was famous for the phrase “It’s time for Dodger Baseball,” something that he would say prior to every Dodgers game.

He also did it all by himself and had the time of his life while he did it.

It’s good to see the Dodgers make these jerseys available in the team store, giving fans a chance to honor the best to ever do it.

And it’s also nice that all proceeds will go to the charities Scully was close to.

Scully is certainly missed around the sports world.

There will never be another one like him.
