The Dodgers announced their next set of roster cuts after Tuesday's split squad effort. The club is sending down three pitchers, including prospect Gavin Stone. Joining Stone are Jake Reed and Adam Kolarek.

This third round of cuts brings the roster down to 47 heading toward opening day. The team has 4 more games in Arizona before packing up and heading to California for the annual freeway series with the Angels starting on Sunday.

Here's a quick look at the players heading out.

Gavin Stone has impressed in his time with the big league club this spring. The right-hander hasn't allowed a run while striking out 14 batters in 6.2 innings pitched. He made his mark with Dave Roberts and the coaching staff and is someone we'll see in Los Angeles somewhere down the line this season.

Jake Reed in his eleven millionth tour of duty with the Dodgers. The righty with the funky delivery allowed a run in an inning of work on Tuesday before being shipped out. He'll likely be an arm the team calls on early in the season if a few injuries pop up.

Adam Kolarek is back with the team after spending the last two seasons with the Oakland A's. In the past with the Dodgers, the left-hander has been very good (0.88 ERA over 46 games) but has struggled everywhere else he's gone. The "three batter minimum" rule affected his usage over the last few seasons and was one contributing reason why the team traded him after winning the World Series with them in 2020.

The Dodgers will likely make one more big round of roster cuts before heading to Southern California this weekend. Then they'll have to trim it down to 26 before opening day next Thursday at Dodger Stadium.
