Former Los Angeles Dodger catcher Tucker Barnhart has found a new home within the NL West.

Barnhart will head down the I-10 East and join the Arizona Diamondbacks, signing a minor-league deal with the former NL champions.

If you're not familiar with Barnhart, it's because he didn't play a single game in the majors with the Boys in Blue, and he only played in seven games with the Oklahoma City Dodgers, L.A.'s Triple-A affiliate.

Barnhart signed a minor league deal with the Dodgers in late August of 2023. In seven games with the OKC Dodgers, he slashed .227/.370/.273 with a .643 OPS. He went 5-for-22 with one RBI and 10 strikeouts.

Before his time in L.A., Barnhart was with the Cincinnati Reds for eight seasons from 2014 to 2021, and spent time with the Detroit Tigers and the Chicago Cubs. The two-time Gold Glove winner will remain in the National League, hoping to make an impact on the Diamondbacks' MLB roster at some point.

Barnhart turns 33 years old on Sunday, Jan. 7.
