The Dodgers have been busy on Sunday with a slew of roster moves dropping before the series finale with the Houston Astros. First, the biggest news is the team is finally placing utility man Chris Taylor on the 10-day injured list while his balky knee just keeps not getting better. In a corresponding move, the club is calling up minor league infielder Yonny Hernandez.

Before the CT3/Hernandez news, the team also announced that right-handed pitcher Andre Jackson was traded to the Pittsburgh Pirates for cash considerations. Jackson was DFA's earlier this week and was at risk of being lost on waivers if he were to be called up and optioned one more time this season.

For the Dodgers and Taylor, that injured knee isn't necessarily getting worse, according to Dave Roberts, it just hasn't gotten to the point where he could play the field. In essence, the team has been playing a man down all week, save for two pinch hitting appearances in Anaheim.

Taylor received a cortisone injection in his right knee in the hopes that it would mitigate some wear and tear issues he's been dealing with. While he isn't expected to miss too much time, the team seems okay in letting him take his time to get right.

Yonny Hernandez has been with the Dodgers on the taxi squad over the last few days and finally gets back on the active roster for the first time since early April. He's 0-1 in one game with LA this year. The 25-year-old has been an on-base machine for the Triple-A club, posting a .407 OBP in 47 games.

In one bit of other injury news, Max Muncy is expected to come off the IL and be in the starting lineup on Tuesday in Colorado.
