Cody Bellinger was the biggest story of the day around the Dodgers, but he wasn't only the player non-tendered.

Recently acquired Luke Williams was non-tendered, as well as third baseman Edwin Rios, which came as an unexpected move.

Rios has struggled to stay healthy over the course of his Dodger career, which began in 2019.

Rios has played in just 112 games over the course of the last four seasons, and just 52 since 2021.

This year, the power-hitting lefty was hitting .244 with seven home runs, before he went down with an injury in June. He finished his rehab assignment in August, but remained in Triple-A, and never got a chance to compete for a postseason roster spot.

Rios is still just 28, and has shown potential when he's been on the field, especially as a home run hitter. But he's struggled to be on the field, which led to the Dodgers non-tendering him.

He'll now be a free agent. The Dodgers can still bring him back, but it seems unlikely at this point.
