Former Angels legend Jered Weaver took to Twitter last week to share an interesting story about one of baseball's greatest pitchers of all-time.
Weaver, one of the Angels' best pitchers in franchise history, said he tried to get a signed jersey by, at the time, future Hall of Fame pitcher Randy Johnson.
He went up to Johnson and asked for the autograph, but got a blunt response. Johnson told Weaver, "No."
Weaver said Johnson was the only player to ever say no to a signed jersey request, so Weaver had a perfect reaction to the situation.
He walked out of the clubhouse and deposited the jersey straight into the trash can.
"Randy Johnson is the only player to ever say “NO” to me wanting a Jersey signed from another player .. I walked out of the clubhouse and threw his Jersey in the trash right after…"

Weaver got tons of support in the comments, with people agreeing that Johnson is the kind of player who would have done that. He also clarified what Johnson jersey it was and what team he was on at the time.
"Mainers.. he was on the giants at the time"
For the most part, athletes always seem nice enough to sign jerseys, especially when it's for another player. Based on the comments under the tweet, though, this seemed to be the reputation that Johnson had.
