After two successful seasons in the KBO, former Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Socrates Brito is staying abroad.

KIA announced that they have re-signed Socrates Brito for $1.2 million ($300K signing bonus, $500K salary, $400K incentives)
The 31-year-old outfielder spent parts of four years in the big leagues with the Diamondbacks and Blue Jays. He appeared in a career-high 40 games for Arizona in 2016 and also appeared in the majors in 2015, 2018 and 2019. Lifetime, he's played 99 career major league games and owns a .179 average with a .216 on-base percentage. He has five major league home runs.
He has performed well in the KBO though, so it's understandable why he'd want to stay there.
Per an MLBTradeRumors article on Brito's signing:
It’s easy to see why the Tigers were interested in a reunion, as Brito has hit .298/.349/.478 with 37 homers over his two seasons (1162 plate appearances) in South Korea. The 31-year-old Brito has primarily been the club’s everyday center fielder, while also seeing some action in both corner outfield positions.
If Brito performs well in the KBO once again, there's a chance he could field himself some MLB looks in the 2025 season. Recently, we've seen pitchers Chris Flexen and Erik Fedde come back to the US after good runs in South Korea, perhaps Brito could do the same from the position player side.
In 1,005 career minor league games, Brito was a .287 hitter with 80 home runs and a .335 on-base percentage.
