Former Cleveland OF Kenny Lofton sued, accused of sending lewd photos

Lofton's name was in headlines for a much different reason on Monday. 

Per a document obtained by TMZ Sports, Lofton is being sued by an individual named Brandyn Toney. Toney alleges that he was hired in December 2021 by an investment firm and NFT marketplace that Lofton founded and told he would earn a salary of $85,000. However, Toney says he was never paid by Centerblock Asset Management LLC and Proxime Corporation and was eventually fired after he informed the institution's in-house attorney that Lofton allegedly sent lewd photos to multiple women via Instagram direct messages. 

Toney says he was fired within two hours of reporting Lofton's actions and complaining about what are referred to as "wage and hours violations."

TMZ reached out to Lofton for a comment but hadn't heard from him as of Monday afternoon.

"Lofton and his executive team thought they could fire our client for objecting to obvious sexual misconduct and even thought they could get away with not paying him for his work," Ronald L. Zambrano, Toney's attorney, said. "That speaks to the arrogance and dysfunction at play every day at Centerblock and Proxime."
