Former Giants OF Hunter Pence announces retirement from baseball
At 37-years-old, Hunter Pence is content finishing up his professional baseball career. The two-time World Series champion announced via Twitter on Saturday that he's retiring from the sport after 14 seasons.
Pence, who spent the majority of his career with the San Francisco Giants, narrated the decision over clips of his career.
The four-time All-Star was designated for assignment by the Giants last month, ending his second stint with the team. Pence ends his career with a .794 OPS, 244 home runs, 942 RBI and 891 runs.
He won two titles with the Giants and also had stints with the Houston Astros, Philadelphia Phillies and Texas Rangers.
