Michael Lorenzen, a former Philadelphia Phillies pitcher, is still on the market. The 32-year-old right-hander played with the Phillies in the second half of 2023 and will be remembered after throwing a no-hitter at Citizens Bank Park.

Unfortunately, outside of that performance, there wasn't much else that Lorenzen did for fans to remember.

According to Jon Morosi of MLB Network, the Baltimore Orioles are showing interest in the right-hander. The Orioles, winner of 101 games and the American League East, have a need for pitching and could look at the veteran to fill a role.

They were expected to land an ace-caliber arm in the offseason, and with most of them either not being traded or out of their price range, the second-tier of starting pitchers is now where they're looking.

Baltimore was one of the best teams in baseball last season, despite getting swept in the ALDS by the Texas Rangers.

Lorenzen, as Philadelphia saw at times, could get the job done.

If the Orioles land him, they'd hope he can return to his Detroit Tigers first-half form when he posted a 3.58 ERA and was an All-Star selection for the first time in his career.

The former reliever turned starter had the best season of his career and ended up on a World Series roster because of it.

The Phillies enter the season in a decent spot on the mound, and as the front office has shown in recent years, they aren't afraid to bring another arm in at the deadline.

With some questions in their own pitching unit however, there was a thought maybe they could get the righty back onto their roster to fill some depth needs.

However, Lorenzen wouldn't necessarily be the biggest loss if he does end up leaving for the Orioles or another team in free agency.
